Chocolate can be downright deadly to your dog. It contains theobromine, a dangerous chemical that can cause severe, life-threatening diarrhea in dogs. Baking chocolate is especially harmful to dogs because it contains nearly nine times more theobromine than milk chocolate does. As little as 3 ounces of baking chocolate can kill a 25-pound dog.
